MY THOUGHTS: I probably would never have read this book if not for the Shelf Discovery reading challenge. I am glad I read this book. It is all about Rob and his family and growing up a Quaker living on a farm. Rob and his father have a great bond. As they work and live on their farm. When Rob's father dies he is the man and has to run the farm and take care of his mother and aunt. This is a very moving book about a little boy becoming a man and a son's love for his father.

MY RATING: 5
